Spalletti: 'Nainggolan out, Vecino maybe'
Luciano Spalletti reveals Radja Nainggolan is out against PSV Eindhoven, while Matias Vecino is also in doubt for the Champions League.
The Nerazzurri will only continue in the tournament if they get a better result against PSV than Tottenham Hotspur do away to Barcelona.
If Spurs win at Camp Nou, then Inter are mathematically eliminated due to an inferior head-to-head record.
The Coach spoke at his Press conference after Friday evening’s 1-0 Serie A defeat to Juventus.
“Nainggolan will not recover in time for Tuesday. I left Vecino on the bench today because he had a muscular issue in the quadricep and could not play this evening.
“We’ll see if he can recover for Tuesday, but the doctor said that by leaving him to rest, it’s possible he’ll recuperate.
“Considering Roberto Gagliardini and Joao Mario are not on the Champions League squad list, I had to leave Borja Valero out and then rest Matteo Politano for the second half to ensure they would be sharp for Tuesday.”
